National award
winning textile design stylist Joseph Bostany has created works on
fabric that have been used by many famous American fashion designers
such as Donna Karan, Norma Kamali, Geoffrey Beane, Betsy Johnson,
Anne Klein, Victor Costa, Liz Claiborne, Diane von Fuerstenberg, Bill
Blass, Ralph Lauren and Norman Norell.
The Artist’s
abstract expressionism is spontaneous; an explosion of brush work;
pure emotion of form through the passion of color.
Bostany’s work has
been exhibited in various one-man shows in Florida and New York, as
well as many group shows such as at the Salmagundi Art Club,
Silvermine Art Guild, the Mamaroneck Art Guild,
and is in various private collections.
In the past,
Bostany held a renowned Art Director’s position for a major
corporation, as well as being Professor of Art at New York City’s
Fashion Institute of Technology.
The Studios of Bostany are located in Brooklyn and Westchester. the
main gallery is situated in a charming 80-year old Dutch Colonial
house and may be viewed by appointment by

Statement
Painting for me is a hypnotic state that guides the colors and forms
that I eventually place on the canvas. My aim is to give pleasure to
the beholder.
